Dr. Philip Chiou

Dr Philip Chiou has special interests in spine-based pain, complex regional pain syndrome, and spasticity management. He has training in interventional spine injections, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulators to help relieve pain. He is a firm believer in the team approach and has patients work in conjunction with physical therapists and chiropractors to get optimal functional outcomes. His training and experience has included utilizing botulinum injections to manage chronic migraine and spasticity due to

stroke, spinal cord injury, or Multiple Sclerosis. He is an advocate of the multidisciplinary model to pain management and takes a very conservative approach to the use of narcotics in chronic non-cancer pain.
